Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 November 2026 · Last updated: 3 November 2026

1. Who we are

Famclaim Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17538804), 34 Yarrow Road, ME5 0RY, United Kingdom (“Famclaim”, “we”, “us”), runs famclaim.com. Famclaim gives creators a hub at famclaim.com/theirname where fans type a keyword to unlock content and join the creator’s “fam”, and gives creators tools to keep in touch with the fans who join.

Privacy contact: privacy@famclaim.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer because we are not required to; this address reaches the person responsible for data protection.

2. Who is in charge of your data

Who decides what happens to your details depends on who you are:

A visitor to famclaim.comRunning and securing the websiteFamclaimController
A creator with a Famclaim accountYour account, hub, plan, billing, support and our productFamclaimController
A fan on a creator’s fam list (your email, optional social handle, which hub, when you joined)The creator’s relationship with you, including emailing youThe creatorProcessor. The creator is the controller
A fan with a Famclaim fan account (verification, device recognition, preferences)Verifying you, letting you unlock content on other hubs without starting again, and preventing abuseFamclaimController

When you join a creator’s fam, the creator is responsible for how they use your details to contact you, and their own privacy information applies as well as ours. Creators only see fans who joined their own hub. They cannot see which other hubs you have joined.

3. What we collect

  • Creators: name, email address, hub name, profile photo and content you upload, plan and billing details (card details are handled by Stripe and we do not see full card numbers), referral activity, and messages to support.
  • Fans: email address, an optional social handle, the keyword you entered and what you unlocked, which hub you joined and when, one-time verification codes (short-lived), a token that lets us recognise your device, and email delivery status (such as delivered, bounced or unsubscribed).
  • Everyone: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, timestamps and security logs.

We do not ask for special-category data (such as health, religion or sexual orientation), and our Terms forbid creators from using hubs to collect it.

We never sell personal data, we do not use fans’ email addresses to market Famclaim to them, and we do not make automated decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Emails sent through Famclaim

When you join a creator’s fam you may receive a short welcome sequence and later messages from that creator, sent through Famclaim. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops that creator’s emails; we keep a minimal record so your choice is honoured. You can also use the Your data page at any time. Creators must have your consent before emailing you (see our Terms).

6. Device recognition and cookies

  • Strictly necessary: sign-in, security, and keeping your session on a hub. These do not need consent.
  • Remember this device: if you choose it, we store a token on your device so you don’t re-register on each hub. You can switch it off, or clear it, from the Your data page or by clearing your browser storage.
  • We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before they load.
  • We honour Global Privacy Control and similar opt-out signals.

7. Who we share data with

  • Service providers (processors) that run Famclaim for us: hosting, email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), domain and business email (GoDaddy), and any others listed in Annex 3 of the DPA. They may only use data on our instructions.
  • The creator whose hub you joined (your fam list entry).
  • Referrals: we tell a referring creator that someone they referred has activated or subscribed. We do not share fan data.
  • Professional advisers, and authorities or courts where the law requires it.
  • A buyer or investor if Famclaim is sold or restructured, on the same privacy terms.

8. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified) or on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum with standard contractual clauses, and we check the provider’s safeguards.

9. How long we keep data

10. Your rights

You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its use, move it to another service, or withdraw consent at any time. Fans can do most of this on the Your data page or by emailing privacy@famclaim.com. If your details are on a creator’s fam list, the creator is the controller: we will help, and we may pass your request to them, or act on it ourselves where we can. We reply within one month. Leaving a creator’s fam is always free.

If you are unhappy, please talk to us first. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113, or to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU.

11. US residents

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Depending on your state you may have rights to know, access, correct and delete your data and to appeal a refusal. Use the contact details in section 14. Creators who email people in the US must follow US law, including CAN-SPAM (physical address and unsubscribe).

12. Security

We use encryption in transit, one-time-code verification, access controls and least-privilege access, provider checks, logging and an incident response process. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts people at risk we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and tell affected people where the law requires.

13. Age

Famclaim is for creators aged 18 or over and fans aged 13 or over. If we learn we hold data about someone under 13, we will delete it.

14. Optional features and contact

AI growth advisor: gives creators suggestions based on their hub activity. Annex 3 of the DPA lists any AI provider that handles personal data. Social comment automations: if we offer Instagram or Facebook comment features, they will only work if a creator connects their own account and approves access through Meta, and we will update this policy first.
